How Care India Helps

Care India believes that if a girl is given the opportunity to complete her education, she will be able to break the chains of poverty for herself and generations to come. However, many Indian parents do not understand the importance of educating girls or simply cannot afford the cost of educating them.

With your financial suport, Care India helps at-risk girls by providing them with an education. The Save the Girl Program covers the costs associated with educating a girl: books, uniforms, and lunches. The program aims to remove the economic burden placed on families so they will keep their girls in school for as long as possible. Please consider supporting the "Save the Girl" program through a monthly, semi-annual, or annual contribution to Care India.

Schools did not function for over 2 months due to popular unrest against the government. While this made it difficult to reach the schools and the children, the program has remained strong.
